Fans were thrilled when ‘Arrow’ season two kicked off, featuring an appearance by Black Canary (Caity Lotz).  Though it’s unclear what the character’s story arc will be at this point, the show’s star Stephen Amell tweeted this photo, showing the Blonde Bombshell standing alongside the hero formerly known as The Hood.

Black Canary’s scene in last week’s episode was so quick, not to mention dark, that it was hard to get a good look at the character.  As you can see from the above photo, however, her overall look is inspired from her original costume, with a bustier-style top, a leather jacket with a mask.  She also sports gloves, which the character normally wears now.  The biggest switch is leather pants instead of fishnet tights, but that’s understandable.

This season of ‘Arrow’ will be packed with new characters being adapted from the comics, but a couple of existing villains will be making their way back to Starling City.  First, check out this DC ‘All-Access’ video, featuring producers Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg as they announcement a comeback by a Season 1 villain:

So Count Vertigo (Seth Gabel) is on his way.  Who else?

Guggenheim teases:

“We said at Comic-Con that John [Barrowman, a.k.a. Malcolm Merlyn] was coming back — but we didn’t say when and we didn’t say how. So, I’m going to continue to not spoil that. But I will remind everybody that you know we tell stories in two different time periods — we’re actually doing an episode where Oliver sort of has hallucinations, we’re doing flashbacks from different people’s perspectives. OK, I’ll make a joke — we’ve got a lot of different arrows in our quiver. So just because you think you may know something doesn’t mean that you know how it’s going to happen.”

And finally, after the shocking death last season of Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell), Guggenheim teased “There is one more fatality that is coming up.”

Of course there’s no hint as to who this refers to.  What do you think?

Only one episode in, are you enjoying ‘Arrow’ Season Two?
