Hell hath no fury like a lady with a book o’ spells. Or a voodoo doll. Or is half of a snake. Or belongs to a gang of witches, otherwise known as a coven.

‘American Horror Story: Coven’ has released some new photos, main title sequence, and has been KILLING it with the promo spots for the upcoming premiere. You wanna see them?? Well you’re wish is my command! Oh wait, that’s a genie…oh well. I digress.

Lets start with the main title sequence because it is oh so delicious:

This title sequence really has something for everyone –  it’s got paranormal aspects, it’s sexy, it has floating chicks, it has old and new witchcraft elements, it’s creative, it’s enticing and best of all, it’s NEW. I love that ‘AHS’ keeps the original score but my toes start to curl in lip quivering anticipation every time I see these new amazing main titles. Whoever they hired to create these gems is truly gifted. They give away something about the upcoming story line but not too much. In a sense, these main titles are like a 1950’s woman. Alluring but still classy.

Next up, we have some new production stills of the cast:

So many different elements to each photo, makes one very curious about what kinds of characters we have in store this season. What makes ‘AHS’ so great is that it changes every year, I honestly don’t think I could have gone more than one season with ‘Asylum‘ and season one would have been boring and tired by now. There’s only so much you can do with a haunted house story (granted, it was an amazing one) and honestly ‘Asylum’ was such a cluster f*ck it was hard to follow and just gave me a headache. This new season could totally redeem itself and knock our socks off once again, and based on the teasers, strong female cast (Hello Kathy Bates. Hello Angela Bassett. Hello Jessica Lange. Hello Sarah Paulson. Hello every other awesome lady in the cast. Girl power! Sorry Evan…) it really has potential to reel its viewers back in.

Last but not least, we have the promo spots:

The song they chose is an amazing cover of ‘House of the Rising Sun’ by Lauren O’Connell and is the perfect combination of bone chilling creepiness and utter spine tingling sexiness (not a word, let it slide). Well done, ‘American Horror Story’, well done. These promos are really good at reeling in a new audience, lord knows I’m intrigued, but the question is, can they keep their viewers? Last season left me with a bad taste in my mouth, so I’m hoping these new witches can conjure up something fresh, tasty and a little bit naughty.

I’m certainly exceedingly hopeful for the future of this season and show and can’t wait to for the premiere on Oct. 9th.
