Last week, Warner Brothers CEO Kevin Tsujihara rallied behind Ben Affleck, after the actor’s surprise casting as Batman sent the world of social media into a tizzy, stating that the ‘Argo’ actor/director was perfect to play a ‘weary‘ Dark Knight.  Tsujihara has now gone further, revealing the future plans for additional DC comics movies.

Warner Brothers releases 12-14 movies a year, and Tsujihara stated “I think the basis, foundation of those 12 to 14 pictures are going to be coming from DC Entertainment.”  12-14 DC movies a year?!  At that rate, Red Bee will be getting his own movie in no time!

He also seems to have confirmed the title of the much discussed ‘Man of Steel’ follow-up.  “We have ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ coming out in 2015, but there are going to be in the coming months a lot of announcements regarding the future movie, television, games and consumer product pieces that are going to be coming from DC… DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business and is an important part of the strategy in how we are going to grow going forward.”

It seems WB is really getting behind the DC stable of characters!  From the way it sounds, they may even outdo Marvel, who average two to three movies a year.  Do the DC heroes have enough of a following to justify this volume of potential films?  Which heroes would you like to see featured on the big screen?  Comment below!
