With the first episode airing in a little over a week, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ is currently shooting their fourth episode in Stockholm. It appears that the first live action television show to be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be getting out of New York City and the Hellicarrier by globetrotting a bit. However, the latest pictures from the set don’t really shed any light on what Agent Coulson and his team could be up to in Sweden.

Thanks to Moviezine, we can see a number of mysterious figures wearing suits and red masks. I doubt that the explanation of these people goes beyond the show’s version of Anonymous, but you never know. Take a look at this curious collection of character in the gallery below:

While we don’t have any information on the red masks and the guys wearing them, one question that has been answered is that the woman in the last shot is Pascale Armand. The actress doesn’t have much experience in film or TV, but her theater resume is rather impressive. Her work on stage even includes originating the role of Jekesai in the play ‘The Convert’, which was written by Danai Gurira of ‘The Walking Dead’.

To my knowledge, there aren’t any henchmen known for red masks, grey suits, and briefcases in the Marvel Universe, however, Joss Whedon hasn’t been shy about changing some things around. Just look at what he’s doing with Ultron and the Scarlet Witch. Keeping that in mind, a Bleeding Cool user has a theory that these mysterious men are part of Ultimatum, the terrorist group lead by the villain Flag Smasher. Here’s a picture of them as they appear in the comics:

Do you have any theories of your own as to who these masked men are that appear in the fourth episode of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’? Are there any other obscure terrorist groups that might closely resemble the red mask and grey suit look seen here? Let us know in the comment section.

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ starring Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Chloe Bennet, and Clark Gregg premieres on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 8:00pm on ABC.
