When we last heard about ‘Transformers 4’ earlier this month, Michael Bay and company were in Detroit, which was made up to look like Hong Kong. Spotted on set were stars Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci, but the latest news tells us that an up and coming actress will soon join those veterans in interacting with the Autobots and Decepticons.

Victoria Summer will be joining the cast of the fourth installment of the ‘Transformers’ series. The British actress tweeted her excitement to be cast in the film, but the post has since been removed. Luckily, some sites picked up on the news before it got taken down:

IT’S A PRIVILEGE TO GO TO WORK!! Next week I fly out for three weeks to shoot Transformers 4. #Excited #T4 – @VictoriaSummer

At first, Summer’s character was said to be connected to Kelsey Grammar’s Harold Attinger, who is described as “a counter-intelligence operative who serves as the film’s human antagonist”. However, it appears that her character was changed and her involvement has been upgraded as she was initially hired for three days, but was then upped to three weeks. Now, her new role is being kept under wraps.

With very few credits to her name on her IMDB page, the actress has managed to land some pretty big roles recently. In addition to ‘Transformers 4’, she will appear in the highly anticipated film ‘Saving Mr. Banks’, which chronicles Walt Disney’s efforts to persuade author P.L. Travers to allow him to adapt her Mary Poppins novels. Summer will play Julie Andrews, the star of Disney’s beloved film, alongside the likes of Colin Farrell, Emma Thompson, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, and Tom Hanks.

With production on Bay’s newest film ongoing, we may discover who this mystery character will be sooner rather than later, so stay tuned to ScienceFiction.com for updates on ‘Transformers 4’ and more!

‘Transformers 4’ starring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, TJ Miller, and Sophia Miles is scheduled for release on June 27, 2014.
