After an impressive showing at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Fox is ready to unveil the next film in their X-Men franchise, ‘The Wolverine’, which brings Hugh Jackman back into the role that really put him on the map six movies and thirteen years ago. With the movie premiering this weekend, promotion is definitely kicking into high gear and we have the latest video featuring a brand new clip.

HBO Advance Notice has the latest clip from Logan’s next solo feature. But before it gets to the good stuff, Jackman and director James Mangold introduce the clip and talk a little bit about Wolverine’s adventure in the Land of the Rising Sun. You can see it all, including the clip featuring the titular character with Rila Fukushima as Yukio and Brian Tee as Noburo Mori, in the video below:

From the report that I’ve read from Comic-Con, this scene was part of their presentation Hall H. Regardless of where it premiered first, it’s a great example of classic Wolverine comedy. With all the slicing and dicing, sometimes it’s hard to remember that the Canucklehead can be funny at times.

What do you think about the latest clip from ‘The Wolverine’? Are you excited to finally see the whole film this weekend? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

‘The Wolverine’ starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee will be in theaters on July 26, 2013.
