Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.’s Kick-Ass returns to San Diego Comic-Con this year with the follow up to Matthew Vaughn’s 2010 live action film and the hero will be sharing the stage with a few real ass kickers. For the panel on Friday, Universal paired up Jeff Wadlow’s ‘Kick-Ass 2’ with the next anticipated installment of the Pitch Black series, ‘Riddick’. Stars from both films like Vin Diesel, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and more will enter Hall H shortly after noon to share with this year’s con attendees some new goodies from each of their respective films. However, the Kick-Ass crew has gone ahead and released some new promotional material a bit early.
Below you can take a look at not one, not two, but FOUR brand new television spots for ‘Kick-Ass 2’ that feature some never before seen footage in them. In one spot, there’s a great dialogue about Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl being like Batman and Robin that I think everyone will appreciate.
