With a cast that stars the likes of Chris Evans (‘Captain America: The First Avenger’), John Hurt (‘Doctor Who’), and Tilda Swinton (‘Constantine’) you would think that Bong Joon-Ho’s ‘Snowpiercer’ would already be picked up to be shown all over the United States. After all, the first trailer was released last month and has been drawing quite a bit of attention. Today, we have a slew of new pictures to share with you!

The film is set to be released in under a month in Korea, and while there is a US deal in the works through the Weinstein Company, they have been known to delay domestic releases especially with foreign films. The Weinsteins aren’t always known for keeping feature content that comes through their studio intact or true to the creator’s vision, so while the Weinsteins can  provide a big budget release, there may be a delay and the film we’ll see may not be the same film released in Asia. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see when ‘Snowpiercer’ is released.

‘Snowpiercer’ is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews. With Evans once again playing Captain America, or at least a character who wants to create freedom for all,  we will at the very least have some great acting on our hands.

Check out the latest photos from the film below:

‘Snowpiercer’ stars Chris Evans (‘Captain America,’ ‘The Avengers’), Song Kang-Ho (‘The Host,’ ‘Memories of Murder’), Tilda Swinton (‘The Chronicles of Narnia’), Jamie Bell (‘Man on a Ledge,’ ‘Jumper’), Alison Pill (‘The Newsroom,’ ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’), John Hurt (‘Immortals,’ ‘Merlin’), Ed Harris (‘Apollo 13,’ ‘The Truman Show’ ‘Pollock’) and Octavia Spencer (‘The Help’) and currently has no US release date.
