Did you know that Chris Evans is in yet another comic book adaptation? For someone who has stated that he wasn’t a fan before, he has certainly racked up quite the impressive resume of films from a comic shop. But his latest has a bit more buzz around it because it’s the English-language debut of South Korean director Bong Joon-ho, who first gained prominence for his horror film, ‘The Host’.

Based on a French graphic novel called ‘Le Transperceneige’, Bong’s ‘Snowpiercer’ features Evans alongside an impressive cast including John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, and Octavia Spencer in this post-apocalyptic sci-fi film that follows the survivors of an experiment that was meant to end global warming, but instead forced what’s left of humanity to live on a massive train powered by a perpetual-motion engine and class division, which is something that Evans’ character is looking to change.

Previously, we were able to get a glimpse at this world through concept art and featurettes, but we now have our first full-fledged trailer for the film. You can check out the international trailer that sets things up nicely below:

In addition to showing off the cast and the plot, this trailer reveals the interesting visual style of this film. Just from the few shots of the interior and exterior of the Snowpiercer itself, I’m interested in seeing the finished product onscreen.

What do you think of the first trailer for ‘Snowpiercer’? Let us know in the comments below.

‘Snowpiercer’ starring Chris Evans, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, Ed Harris, Ewen Bremner, Octavia Spencer, Kang-ho Song, and Ko Asung is scheduled to hit theaters this year, possibly before the end of summer.
