Showtime has begun releasing promos for what may be the last season for the popular serial killer of serial killers show, ‘Dexter’. The first promo unveiled last week was a list of Dexter’s victims which seemed a bit obscure. This newest one, however, reminds viewers how creepy the show can be.
The promo starts off with a close up of a blood spot and as the camera pans out, you see it is a blood splatter (which corresponds to Dexter’s job as a blood splatter analysis). Throughout this, you hear Michael C Hall’s voiceover as Dexter explaining how “too many people have seen the full picture” and how he’s “always been a very neat monster, but lately, the truth has begun to spill … I’m losing control. And the only thing I know for sure, is that it isn’t going to be pretty.”
The amazing thing about this promo is the farther camera is pulling away, you see that the blood splatter is actually a silhouette of Dexter’s face! Now that was cool and creepy at the same time.
