The sci-fi action love story, ‘The Host’ will finally land in theaters next week, and in an attempt to make naysayers not to think this is just another ‘Twilight Saga’ 2.0, the final trailer released focuses more on the sci-fi action of the film with the love story as a secondary outing.

It will be interesting to see how this film plays out. Stephenie Meyer’s novel, which the movie is based upon, is more of an adult book and is not the usual YA teen angst ramblings that she is most known for. Whether the film will skew more on the mature side or the teenybopper viewpoint remains to be seen. It’s all on director Andrew Niccol’s shoulders now. The fact that Niccol directed ‘Gattica’ and ‘In Time’ does make it look promising that we won’t be seeing a lot of brooding characters on the screen. Unfortunately, according to Niccols in an interview with E! Online, we won’t be seeing any shirtless characters either.

Below the trailer we’ve added a TV spot just in case you needed to see more of the romantic aspect of the film.

‘The Host’ stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Kruger, Chandler Canterbury, William Hurt and Frances Fisher and will be in theaters on March 29th.

Synopsis:
