The Last of Us is set to be one of the biggest games of the year, and now Naughty Dog’s PS3 exclusive is getting some very cool collector’s editions.
The first special edition, known as the Survival Edition, is priced at $79.99, and contains:
- Special Collector’s Edition steelbook packaging
- Full-Size hardcover art book from Dark Horse Comics, featuring over 170 high-quality pages
- The Last of Us – American Dreams #1, published by Dark Horse
- The Sights and Sounds DLC Pack, containing an exclusive dynamic PS3 theme, PSN Avatars of Joel and Ellie, and a digital copy of the game’s official soundtrack
For those with a quite a bit of extra cash to spend, The Last of Us will also be available in the Post-Pandemic Edition, which features a highly-detailed 12-inch statue of Joel and Ellie, as well as the contents of the Survival Edition, excluding the art book. As a bonus, the Post-Pandemic edition will include the Survival DLC Pack, which gives players additional skins and bonuses for use in multiplayer. The collection is now available for preorder at GameStop, and retails for $159.99.
Naughty Dog is also releasing two special editions that are exclusive to Europe, each based on one of the two main characters. Both versions feature the same downloadable content as the Survival Edition, but with packaging based on either Joel or Ellie, and an exclusive art print, controller skin, and LittleBigPlanet costume. A mini comic and art book are also included. Both of these editions are available via Amazon or retailer GAME.
The Last of Us launches on May 7, exclusively for PlayStation 3.
