When the one sheet for ‘Evil Dead‘ was released, many scoffed at the claim that it may be “the most terrifying film you will ever experience.” Well, after seeing this new red band trailer for the film, scoff no longer!
The trailer is filled with lots of images of horror, gore, carnage and blood… lots of blood… buckets loads of it. It certainly captures the spirit of the original, which is not a surprise since Fede Alvarez was handpicked by Sam Raimi (who not only directed the original version but is the producer of this one) to be is director.
How utter gruesome is this trailer? Enough that the studio thinks it would be fun to sponsor a “Dare to Share Your Scare” game where you can upload your reactions to this very trailer and share it over social media. Head over to the official ‘Evil Dead’ YouTube page and follow the directions to “play.” Even more fun is to record your family and friends as they watch the trailer for the very first time. The trailer has already garnered some pretty intense reactions!

Synopsis:
In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
‘Evil Dead’ stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore and will be in theaters on April 12.
