‘Warm Bodies’ doesn’t hit the theaters until February but Summit has given movie goers a holiday treat by releasing the first 4 minutes of the film which you can watch here!
The footage sets the film up quite well with the introduction of R (Nicholas Hoult), a zombie who shuffles aimlessly through the airport contemplating his existence as a zombie in this post-apocalyptic world he is now a part of. We hear his thoughts of his awareness of what life used to be like before the apocalypse, what he is now and what he is to become (Bonies – “we all become these one day…this is what I have to look forward to. It’s kind of a bummer.”)
There are some great lines and scenes in these 4 minutes which sets the tone of this rom-com film perfectly! The fact that zombies can’t communicate will be a major plot point of the film and the scene where R introduces his best friend M (Rob Corddry) shows that you don’t always need words to let someone know you care.
I’m really looking forward to this film as it seems that Jonathan Levine (who wrote and directed the film) has hit the mark with his adaptation of the Isaac Marion novel.

Synopsis:
A funny new twist on a classic love story, WARM BODIES is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
‘Warm Bodies’ stars Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, Dave Franco, Analeigh Tipton and John Malkovich and arrives in theaters February 1, 2013.
