The world premiere for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is only 4 days away and Peter Jackson and his team are frantically working on the post-production of the film. To bring fans in on the progress, Jackson has released a new vlog on his Facebook page which gives an insight on the wizardry currently occurring in order to get the film completed in time.
This marks the ninth vlog for the film from Jackson and it features some great behind-the-scenes look at the whole process of what goes on when the cameras have finished rolling. The 15 minute video has a little bit of everything from music, to editing, to foley work, to previs effects, to animation – just to name a few. Best of all, there’s a lot of new footage from the film that is shown such as talking trolls and an extended look at the fight scene!
Jackson has always been very generous in allowing fans to partake in the process of the making of ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ through these vlogs. This latest one just emphasizes that not only will this film be epic, but it also looks like it would be fun to work on (even if it does mean a lot of hard work and long hours!).
According to the vlog, the entire post-production process is scheduled to be completed 2 days before the premiere. Let’s hope the team is on schedule and that there’s a lot of coffee to be had in New Zealand!
‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ will be released in theaters on December 14th in the US.
