While most announcements of reboots are met with a resounding groan, the reboot of ‘Carrie’ seems to be a film that many people are actually excited about. And to keep that excitement going, MGM has finally released its first look of the movie with this teaser!
Chloe Moretz (‘Dark Shadows‘, ‘Kick Ass’, Kick Ass 2’) stars as the telekinetic teen who finally reaches her last straw on Prom Night. The teaser gives a brief look at that iconic scene from the famous Brian De Palma 1976 version.
The teaser was released today and tweeted by Moretz:
The clip is very short (less than 1 minute) and it’s still unknown if this is for marketing purposes only or if the actual footage is part of the film. Either case, it looks good!
Kimberly Peirce directed the reboot from a script written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa which, for those of you who didn’t know, was adapted from the novel by Stephen King.
