After taking a few (LONG) months off, DC Nation returns with new episodes of Green Lantern, Young Justice: Invasion and two new shorts including my absolute favorite Super Best Friends Forever!  Warner Brothers and Cartoon Network have released clips of all three to promote the return.

First up is Green Lantern.  This series, coming on the heels of the disappointing live action movie, had trouble finding its footing with the… questionable decision to strand new Green Lantern, Hal Jordan in deep space with Kilowog, a villainous Red Lantern named Razer and a talking spaceship-turned-cutie pie robot dubbed Aya.  But I thought the premise quickly built into a pretty epic space opera with some really shocking  twists and fan nods galore!  The new clip is set on Earth with Hal meeting his replacement, Guy Gardner.

Guy definitely has a Mister Incredible feel to him.  Not that that’s a bad thing!  I guess since Hal was lost in space for so long, the Guardians had to find yet another Lantern to protect Sector 2814.  So what do you think?  Will setting this new season on Earth help or hinder Green Lantern?

Next up, Young Justice: Invasion will explore what will happen now that there are two Roy Harpers running around.  Things don’t look good in this clip!

The Roy subplot has perhaps been this show’s darkest, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out.  I assume a heroin addiction is verbotten, but that’s not the only dark path these young heroes could potentially face.  But even more than that, I’m dying to see what will happen to Artemis and Aqualad/Manta Junior during their undercover mission.

As a bonus, CN also threw in a delightful clip of the uber-cute Super Best Friends Forever short, starring Powerpuff Girl-esque versions of Batgirl, Supergirl and Wondergirl.

Is Solomon Grundy a gentleman or a chauvanist?  You decide!

And although it isn’t confirmed, it’s rumored that Amethyst will also air this weekend, adding to the Girl Power goodness!  With her recent revival in the new comic ‘Sword of Sorcery,’ the timing couldn’t be better!
