Shooting for the new ‘Robocop’ is well underway in Canada and we’ve been getting reports and photos pouring in from the set. Today, we have a bit of spoilery information that may shed light on how Alex Murphy becomes the title character.
Thanks to a Comic Book Movie reader’s report, some new details have emerged about a scene involving stars Joel Kinnaman and Abbie Cornish at a party of some sort. Here’s what the report had to say:
“Only actors at this set would be Joel Kinnaman and Abbie Cornish since the house is being used as Murphy’s house I believe. Highly likely that they were there as it was their anniversary party that they were filming. A few days ago they actually had the whole street closed down at night for some explosion scenes, the next day the whole house had burn residue on it and a Big dent in the garage, wish I got a picture. No sight of Robocop outfit at all.”
Could this be part of our hero’s origin? It seems probably.
Additionally, there were some new set photos that surfaced that shows off some futuristic cars and some graffiti-filled walls of 2029’s version of Detroit. Check them out in the gallery below:
