When J.J. Abrams’ ‘Fringe’ comes back to Fox on September 28th, it’ll be the beginning of the end as this will be the show’s fifth and final season. Since the show will be set in the future during a time when humanity is enslaved by the Observers, a series of viral videos are being released so as to inform everyone of the new protocols that are the new status quo in this Observer-ruled world of 2036.

Thanks to Blastr, we can see the newest protocol video from the Observers about the Residency Policy, which explains how and where we “natives” can live. Similar in tone to the first video highlighting Travel Protocol, the new video also features the creepy music and the freaky, blue-eyed bald man.

Check out the new protocol viral video for ‘Fringe’ below:

Starring Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv, Lance Reddick, Blair Brown, Jasika Nicole, and John Noble, ‘Fringe’ returns for a final 13 episode run beginning on Friday, September 28, at 9PM ET/PT on FOX.

Are you excited for the return of ‘Fringe’? Will you be sad to see it go? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

After watching all of the promotional material for Fringe I’m
super excited about the final season. I’m also really sad because Fringe is a
great show. To make sure that I don’t miss anything, I’ve already got my Hopper
set to record the season. The people who are us from the future are definitely creepy
and the demands that they make of the “natives” are bizarre. Some of my DISH
co-workers are saying that there is probably more than one way to get rid of
the observers but I have no idea how they know that. It will be interesting to
see how all of the elements come together in this “fight the power” season
coming up. I’m really happy that the show’s return is less than a week away.
