Today’s reaping news comes straight from District 1 as Lionsgate has announced that Stephanie Leigh Schlund has landed the role of Cashmere in the film ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.’

Schlund is a former ‘Price is Right’ model who appeared in the Liam Hemsworth/Miley Cyrus film ‘The Last Song’. She co-starred in the pilot episode of ‘Drop Dead Diva’ and will be featured in the upcoming Fox series ‘The Following’ starring Kevin Bacon.

SPOILERS!

Schlund seems to fit the role of Cashmere as she is describe as having long blond hair that cascades in curls. She’s bit conceited and showy and is reaped alongside with her brother Gloss. The two close siblings are consecutive Hunger Games winners who aren’t hesitant to return to the arena despite the fact that according to the rules, only one of the will survive. (Talk about sibling rivalry!) Needless to say, Cashmere is not too fond of Katniss as she was the one who killed the previous Tributes, Marvel and Glimmer, in the last Games.

END SPOILERS!

Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
