We’ve seen ‘Cowboys vs. Aliens,’ ‘Monsters vs Aliens,’ and an upcoming BBC children’s series ‘Wizards vs. Aliens’, now a new unknown group has come forward to protect the Earth and it comes in the form of Barry Sonnenfeld and Grant Morrison’s ‘Dinosaurs vs. Aliens.’

‘Dinosaurs vs. Aliens’ is an ambitious franchise which is based on a graphic novel which was created by Barry Sonnenfeld (‘Men in Black’ films, ‘The Tick,’ ‘The Addams Family’) and written by comic book superstar Grant Morrison. Besides the graphic novel, a feature film is in the works and now the first episode of the motion comic version has hit the web via Yahoo! Screen.

Dinosaurs vs. Aliens’ is about the scret world war that was never recorded in our history books (as we have already learned with ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ not all things were recorded in history books accurately!). When an alien invasion during the dinosaur age attacks Earth looking for a new home, our planet’s only saviors are the savage prehistoric beasts which are much more intelligent than humanity has ever imagined.

The first episode is a little over 4 minutes long and is mostly setting up the premise of the entire series with the aliens explaining why they chose Earth as a place to invade. Hopefully as the series progresses, we’ll get to see more action and see how the dinosaurs gather to protect our planet.
