Looks like Emilie de Ravin will still be the Belle of Storybrooke as the actress has been promoted to series regular after appearing on just three episodes of the popular series ‘Once Upon a Time.’
De Ravin is a familiar face to the sci-fi community playing Claire Littleton in ‘Lost,’ Tess Harding in ‘Roswell,’ and the Demon Curupira in ‘Beastmaster.’ She also appeared in the horror film ‘The Hills Have Eyes.’
If you’re a fan of ‘Once Upon a Time,’ then you know that de Ravin’s character, Belle, was brought to Storybrooke and had reunited with her love Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle). In what we thought would have brought some humanity to her “beast”, the reunion may be short-lived as she was last seen next to Rumplestiltskin getting engulfed in the purple haze that was surrounding Storybrooke.
‘Once Upon a Time’ is clearly growing their storylines for next season as they have already upgraded Meghan Ory (Red Riding Hood) to series regular and the news of de Ravin’s upgrade is exciting as that means we may also be seeing more of Carlyle in his role as Mr. Gold/Rumpelstilskin. There is obviously more to their love story than the writers can expound upon. More importantly, in the finale, we saw that Rumplestiltskin has his own plans for Storybrooke which may not coincide with Regina’s plans. Now we’re left to wonder how Belle fits into all this.
I can’t wait to see who else will be raised to regular status and what the writers will have in store for the second season of ‘Once Upon a Time!’ How about you?
