Yesterday, we got a look at a scene from Sony Picture’s ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ that showed Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) attempting to escape the monstrous Lizard (Rhys Ifans). Today, we get a new snippet from the movie. This one isn’t so tense nor does it really show off anything from the story so you can watch it spoiler free.

What we do get a look at is Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) fleeing from Capt. Stacy (Dennis Leary) and his army of NYC police officers. The clip showcases some of the practical web-swinging effects that the crew is using on the film. It’s amazing to see after the CGI that was used for this type of thing in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy.

On the subject of those effects, the ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Facebook page released a short featurette yesterday that gives us a look behind the scenes. In the short video, stunt coordinator Andy Armstrong, director Marc Webb, and Spidey himself, Andrew Garfield discuss what went into the practical way that Spider-Man’s signature movements were brought to life on screen.

‘Amazing Spider-Man’ is directed by Marc Webb, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Dennis Leary. It swings into theaters in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D on July 3, 2012.
