As if it wasn’t bad enough that Snookie is a New York Times Best Seller, another member of MTV’s awful fist-pump-filled reality show ‘The Jersey Shore’ is getting into the world of literature. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will be the focus of a new comic book from Wizard World Entertainment, and the cover of the first issue was unveiled this morning in a press release. I mean, look at this thing:

Yeah, that signature looks familiar, doesn’t it? That’s because Greg Horn, the creative mastermind behind some of the best works of art that comic books have ever seen, painted it. While it may look great, I can’t help but shake my head at what’s sure to be a complete and total mockery of the medium.

In the press release, Sorrentino had this to say about the phenomenal Horn:

“I was confident that an amazing artist like Greg Horn would come up with a great look, but I was still blown away by his painting. It has me more excited than ever to see what’s coming next.”

Well, at least someone is excited about this book coming out. Oh, and on top of the amazing Horn, Eisner Award winning writer Paul Jenkins (‘Wolverine: Origins’, ‘Batman’, ‘Hulk’, ‘Spider-Man’) is writing the series, with pencil and inks by Talent Caldwell (‘Superman’, ‘X-Men’, ‘G.I. Joe’), and coloring by Paul Mounts (‘Avengers’, ‘Ultimate X-Men’, ‘Wolverine’, and ‘Thor’).

The first books go on sale at Wizard World Chicago from August 9-12, at which The Situation himself will appear to promote the book, take some pictures, and fist pump with fans.
