Several days ago the teaser for the official trailer of Les Wiseman’s ‘Total Recall’ reboot was unveiled to prepare us for the official trailer that was released today.
The teaser left much to be desired unlike the trailer which actually suggests that this version will be much cooler than the one starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The video pretty much lets you know the premise of the story: factory worker Douglas Quaid who visits a company called Rekall to turn his dreams of being a spy into real memories. Things go horribly wrong and Quaid becomes a hunted man. Which memories are real and which were implanted are now up to Quaid to figure out while trying to stay alive.
The remake is from a script written by James Vanderbilt (who also wrote ‘The Amazing Spiderman and the ’Robocop’ reboot), Kurt Wimmer (‘Salt’, ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’) and Mark Bomback (‘The Wolverine’, ‘Unstoppable’, ’Race to With Mountain’) and is said to be more true to the Philip K. Dick’s short story ‘We Can Remember It Wholesale’ than the original movie.
From the looks of the trailer, the movie will have a lot of action and a great slick sci-fi feel to it. Wiseman may have actually pulled off a good reboot film. Take a look at it below and let me know if you agree. If you’d like to see the HD version , head over to Apple.com.
