Brooklyn Sudano and Erich Bergen join CW's 'Joey Dakota'

Move over Dakota ‘cause there’s a Jersey boy heading to your show! Deadline is reporting that Erich Bergen and Brooklyn Sudano have been added to the cast of the CW pilot ‘Joey Dakota.’

Bergen played Four Seasons member Bob Gaudio in the show ‘Jersey Boys’ and has appeared on ‘Gossip Girl’, ‘Desperate Housewives’, ‘Person of Interest’ and ‘Franklin & Bash.’ He will be playing the role of Paul.

Sudano is best known as Vanessa Scott in the Damon Wayans series ‘My Wife and Kids’ and has appeared in the short lived series ‘Friends With Benefits’ and ‘$#*! My Dad Says.’ She will have a guest-starring/recurring role of Holly.

Not much more has been said about either part or their role in the pilot. If you recall, ‘Joey Dakota’ is about a documentary filmmaker named Maya (Amber Stevens) who travels back in time to meet and fall in love with her documentary subject Joey Dakota (Craig Horner), a rock star who died mysteriously in the ‘90’s. When she is unexpectedly brought back to her time, she tries to find a way to get back to the past and prevent her love’s death. Just last week, Scott Wolfe was added to the cast as a mysterious man named Franklin who may hold the key to Maya’s ability to return back to lover’s time.

The pilot is based on an Israeli series called ‘Danny Hollywood’ which produced 200 episodes. The CW is hoping that ‘Joey Dakota’ will bring as much success to them as the original did in Israel.
