There’s a new player in the NYPD Homicide Unit on CW’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and it’s none other than Brian White.
White can be seen in the upcoming Joss Whedon’s horror ‘Cabin in the Woods’ which will be in wide release in April. He also played Lt. Carl Davis in the vampire series ‘Moonlight’ as well as starred in the series ‘The Shield’ and ‘Men of a Certain Age’ with Ray Romano and Andre Braugher.
Loosely based the 1980’s CBS drama, the pilot will star Kristin Kreuk as tough NYPD detective Catherine who protects the secret of a botched military experiment survivor named Vincent (played by Jay Ryan) who lives with his best friend T.J. (Austin Basis). White will be playing Joe, a veteran detective who is now in charge of Catherine’s Homicide Unit.
White will be joining Max Brown (who plays medical examiner Evan), Nicole Gale Anderson (who will play Catherine’s younger sister) and Nina Lisandrello (who is pegged to play Catherine’s partner Tess).
The pilot was written by ‘Brothers & Sisters’ producers Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper who will also executive produce the project. Gary Fleder, who is also involved in the ABC version of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will direct.
