What better way is there than to spend the first day of the New Year with Captain Jack (okay, as a Whovian, spending it with the Doctor, but that’s another story for another time!). Fans of ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’ will get a chance to see him, Gwen, Rex, and Esther thanks to Starz Edge.

The miniseries originally ran over a 10 week period last summer, but now you can watch it back to back, not once but twice! The marathon begins on Sunday, January 1, at 6am ET/PT starting with episode 1, ‘The New World,’ and continues with all 10 episodes in a row with no break in between. The miniseries will begin again at 3:15pm ET/PT ending at 12:30am ET/PT on Monday, January 2.

For those who have DISH as their satellite providers, you may be getting the channel for free as part of their Starz holiday promotion so make sure to check. If you’re unfamiliar with ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’, here’s the official synopsis:

One day, nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep aging — they get hurt and sick — but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight.

With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month’s time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural event – someone’s got to be behind it. It’s a race against time as C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking “What is Torchwood?”, he’s drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human, forever.

I must admit, I am a bit excited about seeing the miniseries again and hope that seeing it a second time around consecutively will fill in some of the plot holes problems I had initially.

Here’s the schedule of when the episodes will be airing according to Starz. I’ve also linked the episodes with our recaps just in case you wanted to read them also:
