We recently reported that ‘Sin City’ director Robert Rodriguez stated he now has the money to film ‘Sin City 2’ here.
Now speaking with MTV, Rodriquez says about the sequel, “Its time is finally coming. We’ve been telling everyone we were actually going to shoot this year, so have to shoot this year.”
The first film featured a large and stellar ensemble cast that was probably a nightmare to coordinate. Now, Rodriguez is still finishing the sequel script and won’t put together his cast until its finished. The director certainly has a talent for getting things done, so let’s hope that he can pull this all together and film the sequel before the end of the year. If he can, there’s a good chance we’ll see ‘Sin City 2’ in theaters in 2012. Otherwise, we’ll have to make do with reading the graphic novels again.
