If you’re excited about ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day,’ you’re definitely not the only one! Countless others are waiting to catch this show and are already buzzing about it.

Below you’ll find the trailer for it. It’s a….bit short. At only ten seconds long, I admit it doesn’t offer much satisfaction. BUT – you get to see Captain Jack (John Barrowman) back in action again, along with Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles), holding what can be described as a really huge rocket launcher (girl power!) Oh, and don’t miss the BIG explosion. Those are always fun, right?

Written by Russell T. Davies (‘Doctor Who’), Jane Espenson (‘Buffy’, ‘Battlestar Galactica’) and Doris Egan (‘Smallville’, ‘Tru Calling’), this Torchwood series is creating quite a stir because it takes place partly on US soil and has also added a few American members to the cast (Bill Pullman, Mekhi Phifer). Even so, if you’re one of the ones who is against the Americanizing of the series, don’t fret because you still have John Barrowman and Eve Myles – see, all’s still well with the world, right?

In addition, io9 recently reported that “Jane Espenson tweeted that a new Torchwood webseries called Torchwood: Web of Lies would appear online at the same time as Torchwood: Miracle Day airs. And she hinted about who would be starring in this online spin-off: “We have Faith in Web of Lies. There is an Echo of my past.” She also thanks Eliza Dushku directly.”

‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’ airs July 8 on Starz.
