Ever wonder what it’s like to attend a premiere for a movie?  Not just a small one either, but one of those really glamorous ones in Los Angeles?  If you’re willing to do some creative work and have a little luck on your side, you could find yourself there very soon.

Sony is helping film fans across the country get in on the editing action in connection with the highly anticipated release of Screen Gems’ film, ‘Priest.’ From now through March 18, fans can edit together their own trailer using video clips, sound effects, dialogue, transitions and music from the film, for the opportunity to win a trip for two to the L.A. premiere.

Following the submission period, a panel of Sony judges will select the top 10 finalists. From there, fans will determine the Grand Prize Winner through online voting from March 24-31.

“The Priest in 3D Trailer Challenge” is accessible now on the “Make Movies” tab at www.facebook.com/Sony, and is part of Sony’s ongoing make.believe (pronounced “make dot believe”) brand initiative designed to inspire creativity among consumers and engage them with programs centered on the make.believe spirit: “Believe that anything you can imagine, you can make real.”

Each of the nine runners-up in the Challenge will receive a Bloggie Touch™ and four tickets to see Priest at a local theater.  In addition, in a companion sweepstakes open to those who voted in the Challenge, 10 randomly selected individuals will win a Sony Cyber-shot® camera.

‘Priest,’ a post-apocalyptic action thriller, is set in an alternate world–one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires.  The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church.  When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them.  He is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

Priest will be released in 3D in theaters nationwide on May 13, 2011.
