Syfy has successfully grabbed the rights to ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ and now that they have them they want to start airing it as soon as they can.  Expect to see ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ begin on Thursday, April 7.

This is obviously welcome news for devoted fans who were devastated when their favorite show was canceled for ‘Dollhouse’ despite support and protests from loyal viewers for ‘TSCC.’  With only two seasons in place, many felt as though the show wasn’t given a good chance before it was ended unceremoniously.

The series will debut with two episodes at 8 p.m. on April 7 following a showing of ‘Terminator 3,’ and will air four episodes every Thursday from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. the following week. Said Syfy in a release:

“’Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ brought the blockbuster ‘Terminator’ movie franchise to television in an action-adventure drama taking place after the events of ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day.’ The series reveals what happens when Sarah Connor stops running and goes on the offensive against an ever-evolving technological enemy. At the end of ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day,’ Sarah vanquished the Terminator sent from the future to kill her teenage son, John. Now Sarah and John find themselves in a very dangerous, complicated world. Fugitives from the law, they must evade pursuers from the future and the present in today’s Los Angeles, relentlessly battling to save more than just themselves.”

It does seem as though at the rate Syfy will be airing the episodes that they’re going to burn through them at record-speed.  I’m not sure what’s to be accomplished by doing so, but perhaps if enough people tune in the show might be resurrected…only time will tell.

In the meantime, be sure to tune in on April 7 to catch the show.
