According to Deadline, NBC has given a pilot greenlight to David E. Kelley’s (‘Lake Placid’, ‘The Practice’, ‘Boston Legal’) ‘Wonder Woman’ reboot.
“I had a lot of fun writing it,” said Kelley during last week’s TCA. “It’s a very
complicated piece, which is the most fun thing about it.”
Because of their current executive re-shuffle, NBC, along with many other networks, initially passed on the series. But now, new NBC entertainment president Bob Greenblatt picked up Kelly’s pilot as well as several others.
The series is described as a reinvention of the D.C. Comic’s icon in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A., but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.
