MGM and EON Productions/Danjaq (the Bond franchise co-owners) have announced that ‘Bond 23’ will be released in theaters on November 9, 2012.

The movie will start production in late 2011 with Daniel Craig returning for a third time as agent 007. Sam Mendes (‘American Beauty’, ‘Road to Perdition’) is set to direct from a script written by Neal Purvis (his 5th Bond script), Robert Wade (also his 5th Bond script) and John Logan (‘Star Trek: Nemesis’, ‘The Time Machine’).

Currently in bankruptcy, MGM is talks with several studios for the films distribution including Sony and Paramount. The last two Bond films, ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘Quantum of Solace’ were the most successful in the 22 Bond film’s history.
